Tree up to 40m tall and 60cm diameter.

Habitat: Locally frequent in kerangas forest.

Distribution: In West Sarawak

Local name: Gaharu buaya

Note: A monotypic genus of Sarawak, producing the most valuable gaharu wood from the heartwood. This species is threatened due to over-exploitation.
